Indians must overcome height mismatch

      The Gaffney boys basketball team will be long on quickness but short on height this season. Just how short? "In my 18 years of coaching this is the shortest team I've ever had," Gaffney coach Mark Huff said. David Dewberry, who is currently the quarterback of the football team, will be the tallest member of the team at 6-2.

      The Limestone women's soccer team picked the right time to play its best. Madi Dulisse and Lee Cribb each had a goal as the Lady Saints advanced to the semifinals of the Conference Carolinas women's soccer tournament with a 2-0 win over Mount Olive on Wednesday at Saints Field.

      The Gaffney junior varsity team got defensive - literally - in its regular-season finale on Thursday. Jordan Manning had an interception to snuff out the Sparanburg Vikings' lone scoring chance and preserve the Indians' 7-0 victory at the Reservation.

Titans defense ready for Carolina's Foster

      NASHVILLE, Tenn. - The Tennessee Titans ribbed defensive tackle Tony Brown mercilessly. Not for his 10 tackles, but for the bigger play he didn't make intercepting one of the balls that bounced near him. This season, the Titans can enjoy the chance to nitpick.
