WHAT'S UP

Fund raiser

A turkey shoot will be held Saturdays, Nov. 10 and Nov. 17, from 7-10 a.m. at Camps Creek Baptist Church. Win your Thanksgiving turkey and have lots of fun at the same time. Bring your shotgun; shells will be provided. Cost is $5 per shot. Breakfast biscuits and drinks will be available. All proceeds go to the building of McNary Apache Baptist Church in McNary, Ariz.

Church news

The Pastor's Aide Ministry of Mt. Sinai Missionary Baptist Church will sponsor a Rainbow March on Sunday, Nov. 11, at 4 p.m. Guest speaker will be Bishop Emanuel Spearman, pastor of Bethel Missionary Baptist Church, Cross Hill.

Meetings

Don't forget about the monthly 4-H Club meetings. On the first Tuesday of each month, the 4-H All-Stock Livestock Club meets. It is open to ages 5-19 free of charge. On the second Tuesday of each month, the 4-H Camera Club meets and is open to ages 5-19 for a one-time $25 registration fee. No camera is necessary. On the fourth Tuesday of each month, the 4-H Line Dancing Club meets and is open to ages 5-19 free of charge and to adults for a one-time $10 registration fee. All meetings are held from 7-8 p.m. at the Cherokee County Clemson Extension Office, 1100 W. Floyd Baker Blvd. For more information, call 489-3141, ext. 115.

Support groups

AA meetings are held at 8 p.m. on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday in the building behind Limestone Methodist Church on Carlisle Street. If you have a problem with alcohol, you are welcome to attend.
