Graham will have challenger

COLUMBIA, S.C. (AP) - A private attorney and political newcomer said Tuesday he will seek the Democratic nomination for Sen. Lindsey Graham's seat next year.

Michael Cone, 38, said he was looking for ''a large amount of small donations'' to challenge for the seat. Cone, a lawyer who specializes in estate planning, said he was undaunted by Graham's massive fundraising advantage.

''It is clear that Sen. Graham has forgotten that he was elected to represent the people of South Carolina, not George Bush or the Republican Party or big business,'' Cone said.
