Samuel Knuckles Jr.
Retired from General Motors Truck and Bus Company
Samuel Knuckles Jr., 66, of 407 Colonial Ave., died Tuesday, Nov. 6, 2007, at 9:35 p.m. at his home. A native of Cherokee County, he was the husband of Pernice Thompson Knuckles and son of the late Samuel Knuckles Sr. and the late Priscilla Mack Knuckles. He was a member of Suck Creek Baptist Church in Gaffney and attended Agape Baptist Church in Flint, Mich. He was a 1958 graduate of Green Bethel High School in Boiling Springs, N.C., and was retired from General Motors Truck and Bus Company in Flint. Surviving in addition to his wife are two sons; three daughters; two brothers, Cossie Knuckles and Mack Knuckles, both of Gaffney; six sisters, Blanche Proctor, Delia Ballard, Juanita Watkins, Dorothy Tate, Nelleree Hardy, all of Gaffney, and Barbara Johnson of Flint; and 10 grandchildren. The family is at the home of his wife, Pernice, at 2009 W. Buford St., and at the home of his sister, Delia Ballard, 407 Colonial Ave. Arrangements by Foster Funeral Home. |
