Steven D. Pierce

Worked in construction

SMYRNA - Steven Dale Pierce, 25, of 114 Humpshill Road, died Monday, Nov. 3, 2007, on Vestas Road.

Mr. Pierce was the husband of Latanya Humphries Pierce and son of Herman Ray and Kathy Diane Lanier Pierce of Gaffney. He worked in construction and was a member of Cherokee Falls Missionary Fellowship Church.

In addition to his wife and parents, Mr. Pierce is survived by a son, Justice, and a daughter, Juliane, both of the home; two brothers, Timmy Pierce and Ricky Pierce, both of Gaffney; two brothers and sisters in-law, Son and Dana Scruggs and Kevin and Missy Dixon, all of Smyrna; and paternal grandmother, Frances Pierce of Gaffney.

Mr. Pierce was preceded in death by his grandfather, Walter Pierce, and his mother-inlaw, Teresa Gail Humphries.

The family will receive friends tonight from 7-9 at Gordon Mortuary.

Services will be held Thursday at 3 p.m. at Cherokee Falls Missionary Fellowship Church, conducted by the Revs. Gregg Martin, Lucky Earls and Willie Lanier. Burial will be in Mountain View Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Son Scruggs, Kevin Dixon, Michael Shippy, Robbie Byars, Brian Pierce, Jamie Martin, Josh Lanier and Chad Ramsey.

Honorary pallbearers will be Timmy Pierce, Kenny Bush and Ricky Pierce.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to the Steven Dale Pierce Funeral Fund, c/o Gordon Mortuary, P.O. Box 428, Blacksburg, S.C. 29702.
