ENGAGEMENTS

Andy Montgomery and Sharon L. Wilkie Wilkie - Montgomery

Sharon L. Wilkie and Andy Montgomery, both of Blacksburg, will be married Dec. 1 at First Baptist Church in Grover, N.C.

Miss Wilkie is the daughter of Martha Wilkie and Barney Wilkie, both of Grover. Her grandparents are Joseph and Ella Wall and James and Louise Wilkie, all of Grover. A 2000 graduate of Kings Mountain High School, she is a certified pharmacy technician at Yorkville Pharmacy.

Mr. Montgomery is the son of Chuck and Pam Montgomery of Blacksburg and grandson of Sammy Costner of Shelby, the late Sara Costner and the late Jake and Margie Montgomery. A 2000 graduate of Blacksburg High School, he received a B.S. degree in civil engineering in 2004 from Clemson University and is a professional bass fisherman.

Dover - Leagon

Eddie and Jane Dover of Blacksburg announce the engagement of their daughter, Melanie K., to Jonathan M. Leagon of Blacksburg.

Miss Dover is the granddaughter of Gladys Rape, Ella Mae Duncan, the late Robert "Bob" Rape and the late James E. Dover. A 2000 graduate of Blacksburg High School, she received a degree in practical nursing from Spartanburg Community College in 2004 and is employed by Jones Family Practice in Shelby.

Melanie K. Dover and Jonathan M. Leagon Mr. Leagon is the son of Roger Leagon and Renee Ettlemyer, both of Blacksburg. His grandparents are Mr. and Mrs. Jonathan H. Leagon and Mr. and Mrs. Curtis Martin. He graduated from Blacksburg High School in 2001 and from York Technical College in 2003 with an associate degree in general technology machine tool. A 2007 graduate of Clemson University with a B.S. degree in mechanical engineering, he is employed by Agilis Inc. in Camden.

The couple will be married on Jan. 12, 2008, in Shelby.

Blanton - Tolbert

Tammy Blanton and Emmett Tolbert, both of Kenosha, Wisconsin, will be married Jan. 26, 2008, at 2 p.m. in Kenosha.

Miss Blanton is the daughter of Jim and Barbara Padgett of Gaffney and granddaughter of Margaret Boyette, also of Gaffney. She is employed in the Department of Transportation Safety Compliance by the State of Wisconsin.

Emmett Tolbert and Tammy Blanton Mr. Tolbert is the son of Don and Carolyn Tolbert of Mobile, Ala. He is a network engineer in NSR Business for the State of Wisconsin.
