WHAT'S UP Community events Upstate Carolina Medical Center will present a free HealthTalk on breast cancer Tuesday, Nov. 13, from 5:30-6:30 p.m. at the Gaffney library on Rutledge Avenue. Guest speaker will be general surgeon Maureen Burdett, M.D. A light meal will be served. This will be a general discussion about breast cancer, which will include information about the latest technologies now being introduced to the community. The event was coordinated by Upstate Carolina, American Cancer Society and the Cancer Association of Spartanburg and Cherokee Counties. Register in advance by calling 487-4271. Notices Gov. Church news Kings Creek Church of God in Blacksburg began restoration and prophecy revival services Sunday and will continue through Wednesday, Nov. 14, at 7 p.m. Pastor Rayce Wolgemuth with Dr. Frank Abram and his wife, Dr. Barbara Abram, will be the speakers. Frank Abram is one of the United State's leading prophecy teachers. Messages of faith and end-time prophecy along with special singing from this messianic Jew and his wife will highlight each service. |
