Esta B. Atkins
CHESNEE - Esta Elizabeth Bingham Atkins, 78, of 322 Green Farm Road, died Saturday, Nov, 10, 2007, at her home.
Mrs. Atkins was the widow of the Rev. Clyde Harmon Atkins and daughter of the late Adam Alexander Bingham and the late Lexi Elizabeth Watkins Bingham. She worked as a spinner in textiles and was of the Baptist faith.
Mrs. Atkins is survived by three sons, Roy and Rondall Meadows, both of Chesnee, and Bobby Atkins of the home; three daughters, Betty Jean Batton, Pauline Chase, both of Chesnee, and Madje Eva Price of Gaffney; a brother, Paul Watkins of Hazel, N.C.; 20 grandchildren; 39 great-grandchildren; 43 great-great grandchildren, and five great-greatgreat grandchildren.
The family will host a receiving of friends today and Tuesday from 7-9 p.m. at Gordon Mortuary. Funeral services will be held in the Gordon Mortuary Chapel on Wednesday at 2 p.m. with the Revs. Harold Dean Painter and Johnny Jones officiating. Interment will follow in Clingman Memorial Gardens.
Pallbearers will be Joaquin Ocampo-Rios, Alberto Gante Espinoza, Ronnie Meadows, Michiel Murphy, Terry Murphy, James Lawter, Robbie Batton and Rickey Chase.
The family will be at the residence.
