Marie White of Hazel Green, Ala., died Wednesday, Nov. 21, 2007, at a local hospital. She was 78.

Mrs. White is survived by her husband, George White; her children, Kenneth Hovis, Lee Brazelton, Debbie Billions, Joe Brazelton, Delois Lawter, Dora Brazelton and Trudie Presley; four brothers, Wilburn Ables, Flenoy Ables, Paul Ables and Eugene Ables; two sisters, Mary Lou Fowler and Peggy Richardson; 17 grandchildren and 25 greatgrandchildren.

Mrs. White was preceded in death by two sons, James "Soup" Hovis and Clayton Hovis; two daughters, Betty Blackwell and Linda Hovis; and a brother, Weldon Ables.

Services were held Saturday at 1 p.m. at Hazel Green Funeral Home. Burial was in Gatlin Cemetery.

Visitation was held Friday from 5-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
