Erna J. Hutchins

COWPENS - Erna Janette Hutchins, 81, of 3009 Battleground Road, died Monday, Dec. 10, 2007, at her home.

A native of Cherokee County, she was the wife of Guy E. Hutchins and daughter of the late Joe Paul Price Sr. and Esther Sloan Price. She was a retired schoolteacher and member of Macedonia Baptist Church.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by a daughter, Rhonda Gossett and husband, Larry, of Cowpens; a son, Guy Hutchins Jr. and wife, Vicki, of Mooresboro, N.C.; a brother, Peyton Price of Cowpens; three grandchildren, Robert Hut-- chins, Jason Hutchins and wife, Mindy, and Bryan Gossett and wife, Sandy; two great-grandchildren, Brenna and Aubrey Hutchins, and a soon to be great-grandson due in January; and extended family, Mary Ann Powell and Susan Powell.

Mrs. Hutchins was also preceded in death by a brother, Joe Paul Price Jr.

A memorial service was held Tuesday at 11 a.m. at the Price Family Cemetery, conducted by Dr. Terry Duvall and Chaplain Bill Yown.

The family is at the home.
