Paul A. Weaver
Retired from A&P Tea Company
Born Feb. 8, 1925, in Gaston County, he was the son of the late James and Bessie Weaver. He was a member of East Baptist Church and retired from A&P Tea Company as a meat cutter. Mr. Weaver was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II, serving aboard the USS New Jersey. Surviving are a son and daughter-in-law, Richard "Rick" and Belinda Weaver of Concord, N.C.; a daughter and son-in-law, Patricia "Pat" and Edward Patterson of Gaffney; a brother Ernest Weaver; six sisters, Helen Davis, Catherine Summey, Carolyn Blankenship, Gloria Moore, Nell Whitesides and Linda Corbett; five grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. In addition to his parents, Mr. Weaver was preceded in death by his wife, Ann Buchanan Weaver, and a sister, Ruby Groves. Graveside services were held Thursday at 2:30 p.m. at Gaston Memorial Park. Visitation was from 1-2 p.m. in the Magnolia Room of Howell Funeral Home prior to the service. Memorial may be made to the Michael J.
