Airport update

Some of the county's community and industrial leaders will soon be hearing from the firm hired to conduct an airport feasibility study.

Cherokee County Interim Administrator Ben Clary said W.K. Dickson Company of Columbia has begun mailing questionnaires to the county's largest industries and to some prominent local residents.

"They are seeking data from people or industries who own airplanes," Clary said.

The interim county administrator will be receiving a progress report Wednesday from W.K. Dickson.
