Former elementary school teacher in Glennville, Ga.

MACON, Ga. - Nancy Clinton Martin, 61, died Saturday, Feb. 10, 2007.

Mrs. Martin was born in Gastonia, N.C., and was a former elementary school teacher at Glennville (Ga.) Elementary. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Glennville.

Mrs. Martin is survived by her children, Laura McMillan of Pembroke, Ga., Patrick Martin, John D. Martin, both of Macon, Ga., and Jeff Martin, who is currently stationed in Japan aboard the USS Cowpens; and two brothers, Joe C. Russell and Lowry D. Russell, both of Sharon.

Mrs. Martin was preceded in death by her parents, Samuel C. and Nannie Mae Dowdle Clinton, and her husband, William Jefferson Martin III.

Services will be held Wednesday at 11 a.m. at Sharon ARP Church, conducted by the Rev. Jan Senneker. Burial will be in Mountain View Cemetery in Blacksburg.

The family will greet friends from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at Gordon Mortuary in Blacksburg.
