Happy Birthday!
MRS. MAE SUE GAFFNEY celebrated her 100th birthday Saturday, March 17. She was honored by family and friends with a dinner at Ryan's Steakhouse on Friday, March 16. Mrs. Gaffney said the key to a long life "is to put God first."

MRS. MARIE H. WOOD (center, seated) celebrated her 98th birthday on Friday, March 16. She is being congratulated by Rev. and Mrs. J.W. Sanders Sr. at a drop-in party at her home. Mrs. Wood is the 'Mother' of Bethel Baptist Church. Her daughter, Shirley (deceased) was the flower girl in the Sanders' wedding over 50 years ago.
