Townhouses planned for Hwy. 150 site
By LARRY HILLIARD Ledger Staff Writer larry@gaffneyledger.com

A 5-acre tract near Limestone-Central Elementary School on Hwy. 150 will soon be the site of up to 30 townhouses.

Will Bowers of developer DW Properties said the townhouses will range from 1,200 to 1,400 square feet and feature two to three bedrooms, two bathrooms and single-car garages.

The development will have curbing and gutters with landscaped entrances, he said.

"We always strive to be on the cutting edge of real estate development," Bowers said. "We think there is a market for these."

Bowers said the preliminary engineering and site work has been completed. Infrastructure work could begin within 60 days, he said.

At Thursday's Cherokee County Planning Commission meeting, Bowers sought preliminary approval to move forward with the project in compliance with the county's land-use regulations.
