Hospice Care will host support group GriefShare is a nondenominational group that features biblical teachings on grief and recovery topics. If you have recently lost a loved one, it may be hard to feel optimistic about the future. You may feel that there are not many people who understand the deep hurt. That's the reason for GriefShare, a special seminar and support group for people grieving the loss of someone close. This group is sponsored by people who understand what you are experiencing and want to offer compassion, comfort and encouragement during this difficult time. Hospice Care of South Carolina will host "Why?," a grief recovery support group session, on Thursday, June 28, 2007 at 6:00 pm at their office located at 1612 N. Limestone St. in Gaffney. Each GriefShare session includes a video seminar featuring top experts on grief and recovery subjects. These videos also include the real-life stories of people who have experienced loss. After viewing the video, group discussions will offer the opportunity to interact with others, learn about their experiences and have the opportunity to share your own. "This program offers a special way for us to give back to our Community. Many of the families whom we serve have requested that we offer support groups so that they can better understand the journey and meet others who are going through the same emotions," explains Amanda Knowles, Hospice Care of South Carolina Community Relations Director. The facilitator for the evening will be Jim McClure, Chaplain for Hospice Care of South Carolina. RSVP is not required, but preferred by calling 487-3166. |
