Thomas Davis III

Thomas Allen ("T.C.") Davis III, 54, of 1616 Johnson St., High Point, N.C., died Wednesday in Wesley Long Community Hospital, Greensboro, N.C.

Husband of Ruby M. Shippy Davis, he was born in Hempstead, N.Y., a son of the late Thomas and Mary Lee Hutchinson Davis.

He was of the Baptist Faith. He was a supervisor at Bedtime Furniture Company.

Surviving are his wife, Ruby Davis of the home; two daughters, Synertria Davis of Estill and DaaIyah Davis of Virginia; a son, Lamont Davis of Maryland; a step-son, Donnell Webster of High Point; a brother, Robert Jenkins (Marie) of Fayetteville, N.C.; two sisters, Sylvia Bostic of Hillside, N.J., and Sheila McLendon (Melvin) of Union, N.J.; three grandchildren; mother-in-law, Billie Sue McFadden of High Point.

Services will be held Saturday at 10 a.m. at Gethsemane Baptist Church, 401 Wise Ave., High Point, N.C., with the Rev. Roy Fitzgerald officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Sinai Baptist Church Cemetery in Gaffney at 1:30 p.m. Saturday.

The family is at the home, 1616 Johnson St.

The procession will leave The Gilmore Mortuary Saturday at 6:30 a.m.
