Amy Farley Amy Scruggs Farley, 92, of 105 Country Club Road, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, June 14, 2007, at her residence. Born in Gaffney, she was the daughter of the late James Holly Scruggs and Lula Henderson Scruggs and widow of Robert Glenn Farley. Mrs. Farley was retired from textiles and was a member of Elm Street Church of God. Surviving are a son, Ronald Lee Farley and wife, Pam, of Gaffney; a daughter, Carolyn Mathis and husband, Jerry, of Gaffney; a brother, Jesse Scruggs of Gaffney; five grandchildren, Theresa Bostic and husband, Ronnie, Bridget Crawford and husband, Stacy, Michael Farley and wife, Angie, Glenda Hartzog and husband, Charles, all of Gaffney, and Rhonda Frazier and husband, Michael, of Smyrna, Tenn.; two step-grandchildren, James Batten and wife, Ree, of Gaffney and Catherine Lindgren and husband, Ryan, of Fort Mill; 13 greatgrandchildren, Hollie Pennington and husband, Todd, Heather Bostic, Heidi Bostic, Daniel Frazier, Andrew Frazier, Susanna Frazier, Amy Catherine Farley, Macie Farley, Camron Farley, Chevy Hartzog, Adam Hartzog, Rachel Hartzog and Maggie Crawford; one step-great-grandchild, Sarah Batten; and one greatgreat grandchild, Alyssa Pennington. In addition to her husband and parents, Mrs. Farley was preceded in death by three brothers, Horace Scruggs, Paul Scruggs and Robert Scruggs, and a sister, Ersell Cody. The family will receive friends today from 6-8 p.m. at Blakely Funeral Home. Funeral services will be Saturday at 11 a.m. at Elm Street Church of God with the Rev. James Garner officiating. Interment will be in Frederick Memorial Gardens. Memorials may be made to Elm Street Church of God, P.O. Box 1137, Gaffney, S.C. 29342.
