Naked couple found dead
      COLUMBIA, S.C. (AP) - A naked couple found in the road died from multiple trauma as a result of falling about 50 feet from the roof of a downtown office building, the coroner's office said Thursday night. Police on Wednesday said the deaths were an apparent accident.

City passes final reading of budget

      As expected, Gaffney City Council passed final reading Monday on its $10,881,663 budget that includes a 4-mill tax hike and a 3 percent cost-ofliving raise for city employees. The owner of a $100,000 home will pay an extra $16 a year in taxes.

Locals on Wofford Dean's List, another graduates
      SPARTANBURG - Five Gaffney students have been named to the Dean's List for the 2007 Spring semester at Wofford College. To be named to the list, a student must be enrolled for at least 12 semester hours of graded courses and attain a semester grade point average of 3.5 or higher.
