Miss Sergeant, Mr. Moore wed May 19

Courtney Allison Sergeant of Seneca and Christopher Charles Moore of Clemson exchanged marriage vows on Saturday, May 19, 2007, at Saint Mark United Methodist Church in Seneca. The Rev. Charles Weigel Jr. officiated the 6 p.m. double ring ceremony.

The sanctuary was adorned with floral arrangement of casablanca lilies, cream hydrangea, freesia and greenery. Softly glowing candles complemented the setting.

Escorted and given in marriage by her father, the bride was attired in a Birnbaum and Bullock strapless silk satin mermaid gown featuring a ruched bodice with beaded lace appliques at the waistline. Her shoulder-length illusion veil was bordered with an embroidered silver vine and she carried a bouquet white casablanca lilies, cream hydrangea, freesia and greenery.

Joy J. Webb of Greenville, best friend of the bride, served as maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Tricia Willis, sister of the groom, Caitlin Boers and Colby Boers, cousins of the bride, L.B. Ballard, Betsy Clark, Ashlee Farmer, April Garrett and Libby Matthews, friends of the bride.

The attendants wore strapless floor-length dresses of seafoam green enhanced with ruched bodices. They carried bouquets of lavender roses, blue hydrangea and freesia.

Lea Alexander attended the guest register.

The groom's nephew, Jerrod Willis of Grover, N.C., was the ring bearer.

The groom had his father as best man. Groomsmen were Lee Willis, brother-in-law of the groom, Johnny Bailey, Clinton Barry, Matthew Harrison, Chris Ivey, Rusty Moss, Richard Myrick and Jonathan Sergeant, brother of the bride.

Mrs. Moore is the daughter of Tim and Dane Sergeant of Winterville, N.C. Her grandparents are Marilee Sergeant of Roxboro, N.C., Coleman and Betty Jo Knight of Bogalusa, La., and the late Henry N. Sergeant. A graduate of Greenwood High School and 2003 graduate of Clemson University with a B.S. degree in nursing, she is employed on the med-surgical floor of Oconee Memorial Hospital in Seneca.

Mr. Moore is the son of Patsy Moore of Blacksburg and Bob Moore of Gaffney. His grandparents are Ruby I. Queen of Blacksburg, the late Charles L. Queen and the late Ray W. and Phyrnia F. Moore. A graduate of Blacksburg High School, he received a B.S. degree in computer information systems in 2003 from Clemson University and is a production supervisor for Kendall Tyco Health Care in Seneca.

Mr. and Mrs. Moore are making their home in Seneca after a wedding trip to Costa Rica.

Following the ceremony, a reception was held in the Grand Ballroom of the Madren Center on the Clemson University campus. Hosts were the bride's parents. Finese of Columbia provided music for the reception.

A rehearsal dinner was hosted by the groom's parents at Seasons by the Lake at the Madren Center on the Clemson campus. Mr. and Mrs. Grady Childers of Grover greeted the guests. The meal consisted of filet mignon, marinated shrimp and grilled chicken breast, followed by a tiger paw groom's cake.

A bridal shower was given by Charlene Queen, aunt of the groom, Tricia Willis, sister of the groom, and Beryl Hambright at First Baptist Church of Grover.

Jody and Doug Webb and Sandy and Joe James were hosts for a barbecue dinner in the couple's honor.

Donna Poston and Sybil Sevic were hostesses for a bridal shower at Saint Mark Church in Seneca.

The bride was honored with a lingerie shower, given by Janice Byars, Carmen Myrick and Edith Morgan, at Ms. Morgan's home in Grover.
