Naked couple found dead

COLUMBIA, S.C. (AP) - A naked couple found in the road died from multiple trauma as a result of falling about 50 feet from the roof of a downtown office building, the coroner's office said Thursday night.

Police on Wednesday said the deaths were an apparent accident. Clothing was found on the roof and authorities said the couple may have been having sex.

The victims were identified as Brent W. Tyler, 21, and Chelsea A. Tumbleston, 21, Richland County Coroner Gary Watts said.

The couple were found in the road by a cabdriver about 5 a.m. Wednesday. They were pronounced dead at Palmetto Richland Hospital, police said.
