Locals on Wofford Dean's List, another graduates

SPARTANBURG - Five Gaffney students have been named to the Dean's List for the 2007 Spring semester at Wofford College. To be named to the list, a student must be enrolled for at least 12 semester hours of graded courses and attain a semester grade point average of 3.5 or higher.

Named to the list were Jennifer Brooke Almond, Heidi Elizabeth Bostic, Hannah Rebecca Levister, Andrew Ross Strickland and Katherine Cannon Turnage. Levister attained a grade point average of 4.0 for the semester.

Also, Michael James Wood completed requirements to receive his degree from Wofford College and participated in the college's commencement activities on May 19 and 20.

Wood graduated cum laude with a B.A. degree in economics with a minor in philosophy and was commissioned a 2nd Lieutenant in the U.S. Army. A graduate of Gaffney High School, he is the son of Mike and Marsha Wood of Cowpens.
