U.S. Army veteran

Joe Brown, 59, of 103 Quint Courts, passed away Friday, Sept. 7, 2007, at 7:35 a.m. in Upstate Carolina Medical Center.

Son of the late Floyd Brown and the late Carrie Haney Brown, he was a native of Cherokee County and a U.S. Army veteran.

Surviving are a loving friend, Mildred McCluney; three brothers, Emanuel Brown (Kathalyn) of Greenwood, Sammy Brown of Landover,

Md., and Johnny D. Camp of

Gaffney; six sisters,

Venus Oglesby, Elease Wilson, Lorraine Richardson, Wilma Camp, Pernice Sarratt (James), all of Gaffney, and Betty Ann Rouse of Pine Hill, N.J.

Services will be held Thursday, Sept. 13, at 4 p.m. at Foster Funeral Home with Minister Katherina Bowyer and the Rev. Robert L. Dover officiating.

The family is at the home of his sister, Venus Oglesby, 617 Kelly St. Arrangements by Foster Funeral Home.
