Gaffney tops Spartanburg
STAFF REPORTS

The Gaffney High volleyball team remained undefeated in the region with a five-set victory over Spartanburg on Thursday.

The Lady Indians took the first set 25-17 before dropping the next two, 21-25, 29-25. Gaffney then rallied to win the fourth set 25-19 and the deciding set 15-6.

"Spartanburg has improved. They are doing an excellent job of building a team," Gaffney coach Vicki Parks said. "We are fortunate to come out on top."

Kinsey Clark came up big in the fifth set, winning nine consecutive points on her serve.

Krystal Littlejohn and Cameron Crocker were also bright spots.

In jayvee action, Gaffney beat Spartanburg, 25-15, 25-19.
