Finalist for post withdraws name The Cherokee County Finance Committee will conduct a second round of interviews today with the finalists for the assistant administrator position. That list of finalists was whittled to four last week when Steven Bratton, who is employed at First Piedmont Federal, said he had withdrawn his name from consideration. The four remaining finalists are: Cherokee County Building Department employee Mason Harris; Blacksburg's Kelvin Sizemore, who is retired from the United States Armed Forces; Landrum's J. Holland Belue, who is employed by Spartanburg County; and Greenville's Dawn Wichmann, who works for Greenville County. Cherokee County Interim Administrator Ben Clary said there is no timetable for the county finance committee to make its recommendation. The finance committee met the finalists face-to-face for the first time during a series of interviews Oct. 22-23. The committee then met Nov. 30 to review the candidates. According to the advertisement for the position, applicants must have a bachelor's degree in business, public administration or a related field. The county also wants applicants with five years of government experience. |
