Hubert P. Hardin BLACKSBURG - Hubert Palmer Hardin, 78, of 507 W. Cherokee St., died Saturday, Nov. 17, 2007, at Upstate Carolina Medical Center. Husband of the late Virginia Pauline White Hardin, he was the son of the late Basil Harley and Annie Lou Evans Hardin. He was a professional photographer and also worked as a mixer in a chemical plant. Mr. Hardin was a member of Broad River Baptist Church. He is survived by a son, Jeff Hardin and wife, Crystal, of Blacksburg; a grandson, Jessie Hardin of Blacksburg; a step-grandson, Chris Vaughn of Blacksburg; and two granddaughters, Jennifer Hardin and Elizabeth Hardin, both of Blacksburg. In addition to his wife and parents, Mr. Hardin was preceded in death by a brother, James Lee Hardin. Services will be held today at 2 p.m. at Broad River Baptist Church with the Revs. Eddie Bolin and Norman Philbeck officiating. Interment will follow at Mountain View Cemetery. Body will be placed in the church at 1:30 p.m. Pallbearers will be Don Wisher, Carl Dickson, Mickey Sabella, Don White II, Pinkney Rumfelt, J.R. (Butch) Peeler Jr., Bernard Steadman and Ricky Butler.
