Eloise L. Blanton
Former textile employee

PACOLET MILLS - Eloise Lee Blanton, 72, of 299 Green St., went home to be with the Lord on Monday, Nov. 19, 2007, at Crawley Hospital in Boiling Springs, N.C.

Born March 25, 1935, in Pacolet Mills, she was the daughter of the late Archie and Geneva Whiting Lee and widow of Luke C. Blanton. She formerly worked at Musgrove Mills and the Summit Plant in Gaffney and Tomark Industries in Spartanburg. She was of the Baptist faith.

Survivors include two sons, Brian Smith of Pacolet and Jamie Blanton of Gaffney; two daughters, Lisa Pennington and her husband, Eddie, and Bennie Fowler and her husband, Dale, all of Gaffney; a sister, Mildred Cook of Pacolet; a brother, Doyle Lee of Pacolet; 20 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.

In addition to her husband and parents, Mrs. Blanton was preceded in death by two sons, Terry Lee Smith and Reggie Dale Smith.

Services will be held Saturday at 2 p.m. at Floyd's Pacolet Chapel, conducted by the Rev. Bruce Randolph. Burial will be in Pacolet Memorial Gardens.

Visitation will be held Friday from 7-9 p.m. at Floyd's Pacolet Chapel.

The family is at the home, 299 Green St., Pacolet Mills.
