Miller-Rowe Consort joins list of performers at Limestone's Sounds of the Season festivities

The Miller-Rowe Consort, a guitar and hammer dulcimer duo, has been added to the Sounds of the Season lineup at Limestone College's Christmas on Campus festivities on Saturday, Dec. 1.

The Miller- Rowe Consort consists of Michael Miller on the classical guitar and David Rowe on the hammer dulcimer. Both musicians are from Upstate South Carolina. Formed in September, 1991, the duo has been featured at festivals, special events and colleges in both Carolinas and Virginia.

The Sounds of the Season concert, which will begin at

6:30 p.m. in Fullerton Auditorium, is a unique and festive montage of holiday music. The concert will also feature Limestone College and Community Chorus and the Limestone College Children's Choir.

Following the concert, the ceremonial lighting of the college's Christmas tree on the front campus take place at 7:45 p.m. and Santa Claus has promised Limestone officials he'll drop in on the festivities at 7:50 p.m. Refreshments will be served

The winner of the first Limestone Luminaries Christmas Decorating Contest will also be announced. Homes, in front of which the luminaries are placed, are eligible for the contest. For more information, contact Director of Alumni and Parents Programs, K.C. Barnhill, at 488- 4606.

All of the events are free and open to the public.
