N.B. Bright
Retired barber and retired textile employee

Nathaniel Beecher (N.B.) Bright, 91, a resident of Brookview HealthCare, formerly of 902 Beech St., went home to be with the Lord on Monday, Nov. 26, 2007, at Brookview HealthCare.

Born in Gaffney, he was the widower of Mattie (Sudie) Bowman Bright and son of the late Parl Maroni Bright and Callie Breeden Bright. He was a retired barber and also retired from the textile industry. He was a member of Elm Street Church of God.

He is survived by a son, Lee Bright and wife, Marie, of Gaffney; a daughter, Ruth Kerley and husband, Wayne, of Denver, N.C.; four brothers, Morgan Bright, Hobert Bright and wife, Margie, Lawrence Bright and wife, Doris, and Marvin Bright, all of Gaffney; two sisters, Virginia Ray and husband, Cecil, of Blacksburg and Minnie Hensley and husband, Dean, of Simpsonville; a sister-in-law, Evelyn Bright of Florence; four grandchildren, J. Marshall Cooper, Jeff Bright, Jimmy Bright and Josh Bright; a step-granddaughter, Gwen Watson; six great-grandchildren and two step-great-grandchildren.

In addition to his wife and parents, Mr. Bright was preceded in death by two sisters, Audrey Powell and Edith Clary, and a brother, Nephi Bright.

Services will be held Friday at 2 p.m. at Elm Street Church of God, conducted by the Revs. James Garner and Allen Galloway. Interment will be in Frederick Memorial Gardens.

The family will receive friends Thursday from 6-8 p.m. at Blakely Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Elm Street Church of God, P.O. Box 1137, Gaffney, S.C. 29342.

The family will be at the residence, 902 Beech Street, Gaffney.
