Mattie Jo'Lee Lockhart

Mattie Jo'Lee Lockhart, 65, of 127 Bethlehem Church Road, Grover, N.C., died Wednesday, Nov. 28, 2007, in Cleveland Regional Medical Center, Shelby.

Born in Cleveland County, N.C., she was a daughter of the late Daisy Mae Lockhart and Henry Miller. She was an evangelist and member of Divine True Holiness Church of God in Blacksburg.

Surviving are two sons, Alvin Lockhart (Trina) and Travis Lockhart; a daughter, Loretta Lockhart; a brother, Nathaniel Davis; two sisters, Elder Vordia Dawkins and Missionary Polly Weathers (Roy); six grandchildren, including Mario Lockhart, who was raised in the home; and three foster children, Jennifer Lowry, Joanna White and Tiffany Wright.

Services will be held Sunday at 2 p.m. at Fairview A.M.E. Zion Church in Earl, N.C., with Bishop Eddie Lockhart officiating, assisted by the Rev. Franklin Kelly.

Interment will follow in Divine True Holiness Church of God Cemetery.

The family will receive friends in the church 30 minutes prior to the services Sunday.
