      Two local residents reported the theft of Christmas-related items in the past week. Mary Johnson, of Jefferies Street, told Gaffney police someone stole a 3-foot tall Santa she had placed in her yard. The theft occurred sometime between last Wednesday and Thursday.

      Limestone College student athletes fill the bed of a John Deere work vehicle with luminaries bound for the campus borders on Saturday. The students placed 10,000 of the candle-filled bags as part of an annual Christmas tradition.
