Earl Mullinax

BLACKSBURG - Earl Mullinax, 83, formerly of 680 Mullinax Circle, died Wednesday, Dec. 5, 2007, at Park Ridge Hospital, Hendersonville, N.C.

Born in York County, he was the widower of Dorothy Jean Childers Mullinax and son of the late Duffie and Lula Martin Mullinax. He was a member of Kings Creek Church of God and was retired from Industrial Minerals. In his spare time, Mr. Mullinax enjoyed carpentry and especially enjoyed making cabinets.

Surviving are a son, William O. Jones of Durham, N.C.; a niece, Kim Arroyo, and a nephew, Clifford Mullinax, reared in the home; a sister, Veter Blanton of Blacksburg; and a brother, Albert Mullinax of Fort Mill.

In addition to his wife and parents, Mr. Mullinax was preceded in death by several brothers and sisters.

Graveside services will be held Saturday at 1 p.m. at Clingman Memorial Gardens, conducted by the Rev. Daniel Hoyle.

The family will receive friends today from 6-8 p.m. at the home of Theresa Pridmore, 326 Jackson St., Gaffney.
