Delilah M.C. Aiken Delilah M.C. Aiken, 91, of 2453 Prospect Church Road, Mooresboro, N.C., died Wednesday, Dec. 5, 2007, at 10:30 a.m., in Cleveland Regional Medical Center. A native of Gaffney, she was the daughter of the late James Manning and the late Stella Humphries Manning. She was a member of Mikes Creek Baptist Church, where she was a member of the Senior Missionary. Surviving are her husband, James Aiken; a stepdaughter, Nancy Carpenter of Spartanburg; three brothers, the Rev. R.J. Manning of York, Pa., James G. Manning of Shelby and the Rev. Warren Manning of Gaffney; four sisters, Floyie Spells, Virgie Wray of Mooresboro, Doris Manning of Boiling Springs, N.C., and Ruth Aiken of Shelby; two sistersin law, Nellie Aiken and Mattie Mae Mosley of Orangeburg; two brothers-in-law, Willie Jr. Aiken and Sonny Aiken of Orangeburg; and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends. Services will be held Saturday at 2 p.m. at Mikes Creek Baptist Church, conducted by Dr. S.M. Johnson and the Rev. Samuel Leach. Body will be placed in the church at 1 p.m. Pallbearers and flower bearers will be her nephews and nieces. Honorary pallbearers will be the trustees and deacons of Mikes Creek Baptist Church.
