Michael Williams

BLACKSBURG- Michael Cord Williams, 46, of 107 Hickory Hollow Road, died Tuesday near his home.

The son of Ralph and Barbara Moore Williams of Blacksburg, Williams worked in textiles and was of the Baptist faith.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by a son, Shane Allen Williams of Gastonia; three daughters, Christina Williams, Lisa Williams and Cindy Williams, all of Gastonia; a brother, Robert Allen Williams of Blacksburg; four sisters, Teresa Rene Childers, Cathy Williams, Carnita Williams Wilson and Terri Lynn Morris, all of Blacksburg.

Williams was preceded in death by a daughter, Dana Williams.

The family will be receiving friends Sunday from 6 to 7:30 p.m. at Gordon Mortuary. Funeral services will be held Monday at 2 p.m. in the Gordon Mortuary Chapel and will be officiated by the Rev. Mike Goodwin.

Interment will follow at Clingman Memorial Gardens. Pall bearers will be R.L.Childers, Bobby Wilson, Robby Williams, Larry Willis, Charlie Allen and Ronnie Lancaster.

The family will be at his parent's home at 370 McSwain Road in Blacksburg.
