Miss Jones, Mr. Sarratt wed Sept. 29

Megan Rae Jones and Kyle Edward Sarratt exchanged marriage vows on Saturday, Sept. 29, 2007, at Providence Baptist Church. Lawson Clary, former youth minister of the couple, officiated the 2 p.m. double ring ceremony.
A reception, given by the bride's family, followed at Cherokee National Golf and Recreation Club.
Music was provided by Brian Thoms, guitarist; Kaye Cox, organist; Ronnie Cox, Jennifer Spencer and Rick Martin, soloists. Selections included "Surely the Presence" for the seating of the mothers and grandmothers; "Canon in D" for the procession of the attendants; and "Time in a Bottle" for the entrance of the bride. Mr. Cox and Mrs. Spencer performed "You Are."
Escorted and given in marriage by her father, the bride was attired in a white strapless gown enhanced with iridescent beadwork across the bodice that featured a side drape. The skirt, with iridescent beads cascading down the left side, extended into a chapel train. Her elbow-length veil of illusion was embellished with scattered beadwork and fell from a tiara of crystals. She carried a bouquet of white hydrangea and white roses.
Keri Sarratt of Gaffney, sister of the groom, attended the bride as maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Nicole Barnes, Erin Bell, Katie Phillips and Summer George, all of Gaffney and friends of the bride.
The attendants wore kiwi satin gowns accented with chocolate trim at the waistlines and sweetheart necklines. The dresses were highlighted with kick trains and chocolate tie-back tails embellished with kiwi embroidery and beading. They carried hand-tied bouquets of white and green roses with green hydrangea.
The groom had his father, Charles Sarratt, as best man. Groomsmen were J.C. Carwile of Clemson, Jason Mauldin of Greenville, friends of the groom; Justin Jones, brother of the bride, and Brady Foxx, cousin of the groom, both of Gaffney. Ushers were Brandon Coggins and Will Coggins, both of Gaffney and friends of the couple.
MaKenna Smalley and Hallie Smith, both of Gaffney and cousins of the groom, were flower girls. They dropped rose petals that were given to the bride from the groom throughout their relationship.
Collin Smalley of Gaffney, cousin of the groom, was the ring bearer.
Mrs. Sarratt is the daughter of Kelley and Mike Price and Steve Jones, all of Gaffney, and granddaughter of Jenny L. Ward of Gaffney and the late Mr. and Mrs. Harold Jones. A graduate of USC Upstate with a B.A. degree in Early Childhood Education, she is a first grade teacher at Luther L. Vaughan Elementary School in Gaffney.
Mr. Sarratt is the son of Charles and Bobbie Sarratt of Gaffney. His grandparents are William and Sadie Sarratt and the late Mr. and Mrs. Robert S. Pridmore. A graduate of Clemson University with a B.S. degree in Graphic Communications, he is employed by Spectra Tru Colour of Columbia.
Mr. and Mrs. Sarratt are making their home in Columbia after a wedding trip to Pigeon Forge, Tenn.

The bride was honored with many showers given by her friends and family.
Kitchen and linen shower was given by Joyce, Katie and Renae Phillips, friends of the bride and her family.
Donna Foxx, cousin of the groom, Linda Foxx and Diane Smith, aunts of the groom, were hostesses for a gift card and money tree shower for the couple.
Two miscellaneous showers were given for the bride, one by the groom's family and the other by the bride's aunt, Suzanne George, and the bride's friend, Summer George.
The bride's co-workers, Luther L. Vaughan Elementary School's fellowship committee, hosted a pantry shower for the bride.
The groom's sister, Keri Sarratt, and her mother, Bobbie Sarratt, were hostesses for a lingerie shower honoring the bride.
