Blacksburg First Baptist presents 17th Singing Tree

The Music Ministry of First Baptist Church of Blacksburg will present the 17th annual Singing Christmas Tree on Sunday, Dec. 16, at 2:30 p.m. and Monday, Dec. 17, and Tuesday, Dec. 18, at 7 p.m. A prelude by the children's choir and the Master's Quartet will begin 15 minutes prior to each presentation.

The story of Jesus' birth, life, death and resurrection is told by Mary, Jesus' mother. Bringing this story to life will be singers and actors from Blacksburg First Baptist, Buffalo Baptist, Gaffney First Baptist, Goucher Baptist, New Beginnings Church of God, Mount Whitaker Baptist, Park Hills Baptist, Providence Baptist, Rock Springs Baptist and West End Baptist churches. These participants compose a 50-voice choir and a 60 -member cast.

The Rev. Scott Hammett, pastor, and Linda Meetze, music director, invite everyone to attend this special worship and celebration of Jesus' birth.
