Tires slashed The Cherokee County Sheriff's Office reported the tires of four different vehicles were slashed sometime between Saturday night and Sunday morning. Three of the vehicles were parked in the 300 block of 8th Street. A fourth car was parked in the 100 block of West Allen Street. A total of 12 tires were slashed or otherwise flattened. Damage is estimated at more than $1,000. Gaffney police said three tires on two cars were slashed in the 100 block of Anthony Street sometime between Monday night and early Tuesday. Heaters taken The Cherokee County Sheriff's Office reported the theft of heating and cooling units from the porch of a Morgan Cross Road building owned by Concord Baptist Church. The police report indicates two units, with a total value of $7,000, were taken sometime between Dec. 3 and Dec. 7. |
