Terry Leon Rainey
A native of Cherokee County, he was the son of the late John Martin and the late Evelyn Rainey Martin. He graduated in 1973 from Gaffney High School, attended Rutledge College and was a member of Ebenezer Baptist Church, where he served on the Usher Board. Mr. Rainey was a forklift operator at Overnite Transportation Co., a Master Marital Arts instructor, and served as a volunteer reserve policeman for the Cherokee County Sheriff's Department. He was a U.S. Army veteran and was retired from the National Guard. Surviving are two daughters, Elizabeth Rainey of Carrollton, Ga., and Sha- Terri Rainey of Memphis, Tenn.; two brothers, Harold Rainey of Gaffney and John Martin Jr. of New York, N.Y.; his grandfather, James Rainey of Gaffney; two aunts and three uncles. The family is at the residence. Arrangements are incomplete. Foster Funeral Home is in charge. |
