Christmas events

Bethany Baptist Church will present a live nativity scene Tuesday, Dec. 18, through Friday, Dec. 21, from 6:30-8:30 p.m. This is a drive-through nativity with a CD or cassette given at the beginning to narrate the different scenes. After you drive through, you can park and come inside for refreshments and fellowship. Bethany is located at 215 Wilkinsville Hwy. For more information, contact the Rev. Roger W. Holiday closings

Iron City Ministries Inc. in Blacksburg will be closed for Christmas and New Year's beginning Friday, Dec. 21, at noon. They will reopen Monday, Jan. 7, from 9 a.m.-noon.

Support groups

AA meetings are held at 8 p.m. on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday in the building behind Limestone Methodist Church on Carlisle Street. If you have a problem with alcohol, you are welcome to attend.
