Warrants issued for gun pointing Arrest warrants were issued for three people Monday in the wake of a Sunday morning incident in which two men allegedly brandished a gun during a dispute. Warrants for pointing a firearm and simple assault and battery were issued for Nigel Phillips, of 4th Street in Gaffney. A single warrant for pointing a firearm was issued for Ricky Eugene Garrison, 18, of Connecticut Avenue. An additional warrant for simple assault and battery was issued for Latoya Shippy, no age listed, of North Limestone Street. An earlier police report alleged Phillips went to a West Rutledge Avenue residence Sunday and started a fight with his former girlfriend. During the incident, Garrison allegedly gave Phillips a silver handgun which he allegedly pointed at a woman's head and hit her in the mouth. Shippy allegedly hit the woman as well, the victim told police. Phillips allegedly pushed a pregnant woman to the ground when she tried to intervene. |
