Bruce R. Durrah

Bruce R. Durrah, 64, of Cowpens, passed Friday, Dec. 14 at 8:41 p.m. at Mary Black Memorial Hospital in Spartanburg.

Born Feb. 15, 1943 in Spartan- burg County, Durrah was the husband of Edna Littlejohn Durrah and the son of Ethel Durrah McCurdy and the late K.C. McCurdy. He was a 1961 graduate of Benjamin E. Mayes High School in Pacolet and retired from Kings Point Knitting Mill. He was a member of White Plains Baptist Church where he served as a Trustee.

In addition to his wife and his mother, Durrah is survived by three sons, Victor Sherrod of New York, Robert Littlejohn of Trumbull, Conn., and Elder Bruce Darnell Durrah of Spartanburg; two daughters, Gretta Winningham and Traviar D. Glenn of Spartanburg; two sisters, Vickie Underwood of Spartanburg and Helen Dover of Cowpens; nine grandchildren, nine aunts, an uncle, and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, Dec. 19 at 3 p.m. at New Hope Full Gospel Church, 717 N. Liberty St., Spartanburg, with the Revs. Kirkland Smith and James Patton officiating.

Interment will follow in White Plains Baptist Church Cemetery. Durrah's body will lie instate for an hour prior to the service.
