Carole Earls

BLACKSBURG- Carole Marcella Gosnell Earls, 76, of 1329 E. Cherokee St., died Dec. 16 at Spartanburg Regional Center.

Earls was the wife of the late Keroy Barron Earls Sr. and the daughter of the late Frank Gosnell and Verina Annie Bell Wells Gosnell. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ Of Latter Day Saints, the Cherokee County Coin Club and worked as a homemaker.

Earls is survived by six sons, David Leroy Earls of the home, Jeroy Barron Earls Jr. of Gaffney, Daniel Richard Earls of Gastonia, Gregory Jay Earls of Escondido, Ca., Jeremy Lee Earls of Blacksburg and Christopher Legrand Earls of American Fork, Utah; six daughters, Oveta Jo Earls Moss of Gaffney, Jodi Carole Earls Ray of Blacksburg, Laura Jeanne Anne Earks Sansing of Blacksburg, Teresa Annette Earls Langston of Blacksburg, Donnita Elese Earls Braniff of Blacksburg, Alexandrea Elaine Earls Bennett of Syracuse, Utah, a niece raised in the home, Belinda J. Gosnell Arnold of Bessemer City, a sister, Josephine Gosnell Dobbins of Gaffney, 37 grandchildren and 28 greatgrandchildren. In addition to her husband and parents, Earls was preceded in death by a sister, Lorraine Gosnell Falls, and five brothers, Marvin, Jackson, John, Gene and Frank Gosnell Jr.

Arrangements are incomplete at this time. In lieu of flowers, memorials be made to the Gaffney Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints Family History Center, 701 W. Buford St., Gaffney, SC 29341.

The family will be at the Earls Family Building, 131 Daisy Lane, Blacksburg.
