Edith Evelyn Davis, 73, of 305 8th St., Lot B, passed away on Tuesday, Dec.18, 2007, at Upstate Carolina Medical Center.

Born in Gaffney, she was the daughter of the late Ed Smith Davis Sr. and Estelle Martin Davis. She was retired from the textile industry and was of the Baptist faith.

She is survived by a daughter, Patricia Garcia of Gaffney; two brothers, Ed Smith Davis Jr. and Jeffrey Ronald Davis Sr. and wife, Mary Davis, sister-in-law, all of Gaffney; three sisters, Elizabeth Evans, Polly Haulbrooks and Jackie Gilfillan, all of Gaffney; one grandson, Ray Harris, of Gaffney; and three great-grandchildren, Christopher Harris, Tristan Harris and Katherine Harris.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Betty Pruitt and Lois Davis.

Graveside services will be held Thursday at 11 a.m. in White Plains Baptist Church Cemetery, conducted by the Rev. Nicholas King.

The family will be at the residence.
