Former bank employee

Betty White Long, 80, formerly of 533 Edgewater Drive, died Wednesday, Dec. 19, 2007, in Upstate Carolina Medical Center.

Born in Gastonia, N.C., she was the widow of Wayne H. Long Sr. and daughter of the late John White and the late Ann Barnes White. She was a former bank employee and a member of Corinth Baptist Church.

Surviving are sons, Wayne H. Long Jr. and wife, Patricia F., of Pennsylvania and Richard G. Long and wife, JoAnn, of Gaffney; grandchildren, Christina Iluzada and husband, Evan, of Spartanburg and Steven Long and wife, Kimberly, of Knoxville, Tenn.; two brothers, Michael L. White of Statesville, N.C., and Thomas White of Mooresville, N.C.; and two sisters, Peggy Bellamy of Myrtle Beach and Mary McNeil of Jupiter, Fla.

In addition to her husband and parents, Mrs. Long was preceded in death by a brother, Bill White.

Services will be held Saturday at 2 p.m. at Shuford- Hatcher Chapel at Frederick Memorial Gardens, conducted by the Rev. Dwight Easler. Burial will be in Corinth Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends Saturday from 12:30-2 p.m. in the chapel prior to the service.

Family members are at their respective homes.
