April D. Thomas and Mathew J. Wilde

Mr. and Mrs. Donnie L. Thomas announce the engagement of their daughter, April D. Thomas, of Gaffney to Mathew J. Wilde of Long Island, N.Y.

Miss Thomas is the granddaughter of Elizabeth Whelchel and the late Carl Whelchel and the late Charles and Doris Thomas.

Miss Thomas and Mr. Wilde were recently engaged while on vacation in Haiti. Both are graduates of Limestone College.

Mr. Wilde is employed as an investigator by the Spartanburg County Sheriff's Office. The bride-elect is employed as a district manager by Enterprise Rent-a-Car in Greenville.

The couple will be married in the fall of 2008.
