Betty Jo Weathers BLACKSBURG - Betty Jo Huskins Weathers, 73, of 308 Dickson Road, died Wednesday, Dec. 26, 2007, at her home. A native of Maiden, N.C., Mrs. Weathers was the widow of Kenneth Dwight Weathers and daughter of the late Samual Azora and Verdie Lou Abee Huskins. She worked in textiles as a spinner and was a member of North Lincolnton Baptist Church. Mrs. Weathers is survived by four sons, Kenneth Blake Weathers, Michael Lee Weathers, John Franklin Weathers and David Allen Weathers, all of Gaffney; a daughter, Sandra Hullett of the home; a brother, Forrest Huskins of Lincolnton, N.C.; a sister, Maudie Stoots of Gaffney; 16 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and 11 great-great-grandchildren. In addition to her husband and parents, Mrs. Weathers was preceded in death by two brothers, Paul David Huskins and Dan Huskins; two sisters, Ilazel Westmoreland and Mary Towery; and a grandson, David Hullett. Graveside services will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. at Smyrna Baptist Church Cemetery, conducted by the Rev. Chris Ballard. Mark Towery, Mark Towery Jr., Freddie Joe Hullett, James Hullett, Bobby Wilson and Peter Hullett will serve as pallbearers.
