STATE BRIEFS Burned body found AIKEN - Authorities are investigating the death of an Augusta man whose partially burned body was discovered near a golf course. Aiken County Coroner Tim Carlton says 38-year-old Corwin L. Lee died within 48 hours of the discovery Thursday morning near The River Club Golf Course in North Augusta Golf course mechanic Patrick Laorenza told reporters he had been looking for illegally dumped trash in the area when he found Lee's body. He says he noticed that the man's legs had been burned. Escapee captured GREENVILLE - Authorities say they have captured an inmate about 90 miles from the medium security prison he escaped from earlier this month. Johnny Moore was found along a creek around 4:30 p.m. Thursday after police received tips that he was in a wooded area west of Greenville. Authorities say Moore was arrested without incident and will be transferred to a maximum security prison.
Moore was reported missing Dec. 16 at a prison in
Trenton, where he was serving a 10-year sentence for burglary.
