Former CNA at Peachtree Centre and Magnolias

Inez Virginia Allen Blankin, 80, formerly of 314 11th St., went home to be with Lord on Tuesday, Jan. 1, 2008, at Upstate Carolina Medical Center.

Born in Gaffney, she was the widow of James Patrick Blankin and daughter of the late William Anderson Allen and Ethel Wilson Allen. She was retired from textiles and was a former CNA in the rehabilitation departments of Peachtree Centre and Magnolias of Gaffney. Mrs. Blankin was a former member of Nazareth Baptist Church in Blacksburg and a member of Temple Baptist Church.

Surviving are a son, Donald L. Blankin and wife, Darlene, of Blacksburg; a daughter, Beverly Allison and husband, Dickie, of Gaffney; a brother, Billy (Poke) Allen and wife, Eileen, of Gaffney; three grandchildren, Casey Blankin- Parks, Jamie Allison and Courtney Martin and husband, Thomas; and three greatgrandchildren, Gary Lee, Elizabeth and Kaitlin.

Graveside services will be held Thursday at 11 a.m. at Frederick Memorial Gardens with the Rev. Scott Kierstead officiating.

The family will receive friends today from 5-6:30 p.m. at Blakely Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Meals on Wheels, P.O. Box 1886, Gaffney, S.C. 29342.

The family will be at the homes of Dickie and Beverly Allison, 312 11th St., Gaffney, and Donald and Darlene Blankin, 208 Sunset Drive, Blacksburg.
