Worked as a cloth duffer in textiles

CHESNEE - Harold Steve Puckett, 60, of 405 West Manning St., died at his home on Friday, Dec. 28, 2007.

A native of Union, he was the husband of Lorene Puckett and son of the late Harold Puckett and Mary Janice Spelts Sumner. Mr. Puckett worked as a cloth duffer in textiles and was a member of Faith Fellowship Church of God.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by four sons, Randall Puckett of Chesnee, Danny Puckett of Mayo, Jamie Puckett of Chesnee and Bobby Joe Puckett of the home; a daughter, Lisa Bryant of Chesnee; a brother, Edward Lee Puckett of Chesnee; two sisters, Kathy Hayes of Gaffney and Irene Blackwell of Chesnee; and 12 grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Larry Puckett, and two sons, Jason Puckett and Junior Bledsoe.

Services will be held Thursday at 1 p.m. at Faith Fellowship Church of God, conducted by the Rev. Robert Carns and Chaplain Bill Yown. Interment will be in Springhill Memorial Gardens.

Visitation will be held today from 6-8 p.m. at Graceland Mortuary at Springhill.

The family is at the residence.
