Ruby Mae Blackwell Westmoreland, 69, of 524 Old Race Track Road, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, Jan. 9, 2008, at her home.

Born in Gaffney, she was the wife of Millard Filmore Westmoreland and daughter of the late Lloyd Blackwell and Zillie Parker Blackwell. Mrs. Westmoreland was retired from Nestlé and was a member of St. John's Baptist Church.

Also surviving are two sons, Randall Eugene Westmoreland and Michael David Westmoreland, both of the home; two daughters, Angela Brown and husband, Ronald, and Sheila Gunnells and husband, Ellis, all of Gaffney; a sister, Margie Arrowood of Gaffney; three grandchildren, Brian Scott Gunnells, Angel Danielle Gunnells and Bradley Junior Gunnells; and one great-grandson, Jason Scott Gunnells.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Joe Blackwell.

Graveside services will be held Saturday at 2 p.m. in Frederick Memorial Gardens, conducted by the Rev. Alan Peeler and Mr. Ashby Blakely.

The family will receive friends today from 6-8 p.m. at Blakely Funeral Home.
